This project is a collaboration between Gutt Land Productions (Luxembourg), ITU productions (Cook Islands), Jim Perkins Music (Cook Islands) and internationally acclaimed UNESCO Artist and Ambassador of Peace, Ambassador Of The International Federation Of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Oud artist Dr. Naseer Shamma.
In the music video Dr. Shamma passionately addresses people worldwide delivering a concise and compelling message, The Earth Call. Dr. Shamma earnestly urges individuals to cease all harmful environment activities.

In Pacific Mother, Sachiko travels from Japan to Hawaii, Tahiti, the Cook Islands and Aotearoa New Zealand to connect with strong ocean women, whose stories about birth and parenthood inspire a more traditional, connected way of life. Through their interwoven stories, the film explores the importance of community, reclaiming traditional birthing knowledge and the connection between caring for the planet and nurturing both parents and their children.
Jim Perkins recorded and composed music for the Cook Islands section of this film.
Pacific MOther
Itu Productions created and directed a documentary film that tells about the resilience of the Cook Islands during the pandemic that affected the world, Covid-19. The project was supported in collaboration with Pasifika TV and Vaka TV.
The documentary was screened on New Zealand TV and Pacific Islands TV, Jim Perkins created the original score and also did the post production sound design and editing on this project.

Mike’s life story is a journey of art, his connection to artistic expression in all its forms is what wakes him up in the morning and sees him retire to bed late at night. This short documentary seeks to capture Mike’s connection with art and teaching. Jim Perkins did the post production sound editing, sound design and composed and recorded original music for this short film. He won several awards for his work on this film.

Jim Perkins is passionate about the environment and helping others to initiate change in their daily lives. Jim proudly helped to produce this commercial that aired in the Cook Islands to encourage eliminating single use plastics through the Plastic Free July campaign alongside long time collaborators Te Ipukarea Society. Jim wrote the original score, scripted and directed this commercial.
